Front Street I, II, & III
Triptych of Etchings
50cm x 37cm (Framed)
For the Metamorphosis project I wanted to capture something about the place where I live and the changes I see as I regularly walk through the village. I dragged the prepared etching plate along the street, allowing the physical nature of the place to create the image. I printed using stencils to mask the ground etch; by doing so I have allowed the viewer to see different aspects of the street. As each layer is added, the view changes.
